ABOUT

Shared Passion

Relationships formed around wine are some of the strongest in existence. A relationship between  winemakers and sommeliers is one of the most symbiotic. It is one that is forged by shared passion, vision, and language. There are decades of experience between Julien and Camille.

They bring two of the most complementary skill sets to create Les Vins Julien. Over the years, tasting, traveling and making wine, Camille and Julien have fine tuned their craft and you can taste their expertise in every single bottle.

Julien Fayard

Julien is no stranger to quality: he has made wine for some of the world’s most prestigious houses in France, including Château Lafite-Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte and continues to work with many estates in California and Napa. During his formative years, Julien studied in Angers and Toulouse for his Master in Agribusiness and Master in Winemaking. Later on he completed his MBA at UC Davis.

Julien’s wines are a pure expression of their terroir highlighting the characteristics of soil, climate and fruit. Julien brings 25 years of expertise and a solid track record of building lasting brands, and setting the bar for quality.

Camille Gaïo

Camille is highly regarded as a classically trained sommelier (turned renowned winemaker). She started training in Michelin Star restaurants achieving her Degree in Hospitality. She worked across France then shifted her attention to a Master in wine science and viticulture at the University of Bordeaux.
